Overview

EU Law, Competition & State aid specialty:
We are the first, if not only, Serbian law firm with a strong focus on EU Law and its application in antitrust / competition law, state aid and trade policy negotiations.
Practice head, Bogdan Gecić’s experience in Competition & State aid and EU law is unmatched in the region: he is the only practitioner from the Western Balkan region not only to have practiced and continuously represented clients before the European Commission. We are the only Serbian firm to be involved in all 3 cases currently before the European Commission.
Notably, Gecić Law, together with DLA Piper, assisted Air Serbia in getting a first-ever effective control case before the European Commission in their investigation related to Etihad Airways’ investment in the local carrier. Gecić Law’s team also recently, along with Van Bael & Bellis, supported the Government of Serbia and Zelezara Smederevo in the first anti-dumping proceedings against Serbia before the European Commission concerning imports of certain hot-rolled flat products of iron, non-alloy or other alloy steel origination in Brazil, Iran, Russia, Serbia and Ukraine.
