About

Provided by Friday, Eldredge & Clark, LLP

At Friday, Eldredge & Clark, wealth management is the core of our Trust and Estate Planning Practice Group. Our attorneys, all of whom have a masters of law in taxation, have experience with complex estate plans, estate matters, trust administration, trust/estate controversies, preparation of gift/estate tax returns, review of fiduciary income tax returns and nonprofit trusts. The practice group focuses mostly on individuals and private clients, some of whom own businesses in almost all industry sectors.

Many of the clients have taxable estates. To address a client’s potential estate tax issues, the lawyers have created and/or implemented, among other things, irrevocable trusts for life insurance protection and lifetime gifting options, dynasty trusts for generation-skipping transfer tax purposes, “bypass” trusts, QTIP trusts for a variety of estate planning purposes, partnerships, limited liability companies, corporations, charitable remainder and lead trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, QDOTs for non-citizen spouses, special needs trusts, grantor trusts, and trusts which qualify to own “S” corporation stock.

The lawyers have represented many varied estates over the years, including probate proceedings and trust administrations, and has assisted the executor or trustee in distributing the estate or trust assets or implementing long-term planning created by the decedent’s Last Will and Testament or revocable trust.
