Tax Litigation: Mid-Market

Fogaça Murphy Advogados’ Tax Litigation practice represents companies and private clients in complex federal, state and municipal tax matters, before administrative authorities and the judiciary. The team advises clients from sectors including retail and wholesale, telecommunications, technology, consumer goods and services, as well as corporate and investment structures.

The practice handles tax assessments and enforcement proceedings, administrative defenses and appeals, annulment actions, tax liabilities and credit recovery, with particular experience in disputes involving ICMS and federal and municipal taxes. Recent work includes complex administrative and judicial matters involving tax assessments, liability issues and the interpretation of evolving tax rules.

The department is led by Ademar Fogaça Pereira, Celia Murphy, Cristiano Padial Fogaça and Matheus Lira. Its approach combines tax litigation experience, knowledge of tax administration, strong academic credentials and close involvement of partners in the development of legal strategies.
