Fishman Haygood's Business Banking & Finance practice focuses on the lending and regulatory activities of regional and national financial institutions. We have experience handling unique financing matters, including complex oil, gas and energy financings, vessel financings, and structured financings.

Our firm regularly counsels lenders on a broad range of transactions involving the uniform commercial code (UCC), including the UCC as adopted in Louisiana. We frequently advise clients on secured transactions involving asset-based lending, debtor-in-possession financing, and large-scale equipment financing. Other examples include the following:

• Representation of lenders and borrowers in complex financing transactions, bond financing, commercial mortgaged backed securities, new market tax credits, low-income housing tax credits, historic rehabilitation tax credits and film tax credits.
• Representation of lenders in commercial banking facilities.
• Representation of tax credit allocatees in both federal and state new market tax credit programs.
• Representation of government agencies in complex financing transactions, including projects supported by federal community development block grants, Louisiana capital outlay funding, and USDA and HUD-insured and guaranteed loans.
• Representation of sponsors in structured credit-tenant lease financing structures and analogous financings involving intangible assets.
