Dispute Resolution: Litigation

Headed by partners Nicolás Ubilla and Rafael Collado, FN’s Dispute Resolution practice area focuses on sensitive, technical and complex matters pertaining to the different industries in which the firm is specialized. In 2020, FN has handled several of the most relevant litigation cases in Chile.

Our litigation approach is based on collaboration and multi-specialization: we combine our specialized litigation skills with the in-depth knowledge of lawyers from other practice areas.

In addition, FN manages a significant number of cases before different types of courts and authorities. With the permanent advice of the Dispute Resolution area, FN participates in contentious proceedings before more than ten courts.

This diversity of courts has allowed us to represent clients in sensitive subjects related to economic regulation, environmental law, public law, as well as commercial, civil and criminal disputes.

Some additional characteristics of this practice area are:

• Our litigation practice has rapidly grown, in terms of: (i) significant clients; (ii) areas, such as telecommunications, gyms, entertainment, electricity, construction of energy projects, retail, state companies, multinational corporations, among others; and, (iii) the number of lawyers, complexity of cases, results and fees.

• Consolidation of consumer law and unfair competition practices within our Dispute Resolution area.
