The bulk of its resources operate out of Toronto, where it provides strong deal teams, particularly in banking and finance. A major part of its cross-border expertise involves the USA, where it regularly works with clients investing into Canada, in partnership with US firms. Another key component of the law firm`s international work springs from its stellar mining and natural resources practice, which extends to offices in London and Johannesburg to provide a global platform to help service Canadian and global clients on their operations around the world.

Fasken is an experienced adviser on inbound deals, offering solid public M&A capabilities and specialist expertise in cross-border banking and finance deals, which benefit from its strong relationships with Canadian financial institutions. The firm navigates major mining clients through international transactions, with an ability to project-manage M&A and financing deals across continents. It also offers expertise in inbound infrastructure deals including M&A, divestitures and financing, and advises Canadian infrastructure companies entering other markets in conjunction with partner counsel. It also regularly works with clients in the financial services, TMT, life sciences and healthcare industries on their cross-border matters, largely representing US investors and Canadian target companies on inbound work.
