We closely follow EU competition legislation and rulings as the competition legislation in Serbia is highly influenced by EU legislation and therefore a thorough understanding of the EU legislation and best practices is necessary when interpreting Serbian competition legislation. As support to our M&A practice group, we particularly focus on merger control and abuse of dominant market positions and have experience in advising on vertical and horizontal commercial agreements. 

Our team is also versed in compliance review and competition proceedings, having represented clients before the Serbian Competition Authority.

Head of Competition - Uroš Popović

Partner Uroš Popović has extensive experience in competition and anti-trust matters in Serbia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is the lead partner for competition matters for adidas, Philips, and Samsung and coordinates advice from multiple law firms across the region as the client's single point of contact. He also led the team in numerous abuses of dominance cases for and against some of the major cable operators in the region. 

We have a niche specialization in providing US law-compatible advice as Partner Uroš Popović is US-educated and admitted to the New York bar, enabling him to effectively bridge the gap for clients coming from common law jurisdictions.
