Unique to the litigation market in Iowa, Dorsey has a global platform of trial experts serving a broad range of industries. The Des Moines Trial group completed the only defense of a “failed bank” case in Iowa arising out of the Great Recession. Unlike many of its competitors, the group regularly tries cases in Iowa state and federal courts and forums rather than merely litigating all cases until settlement.

David Tank leads the Dorsey trial practice. David is also the former co-chair of the firm-wide Food and Agriculture Industry Group. His practice includes, but is not limited to, complex business litigation, cases involving patents and other intellectual property, corporate control disputes, contract matters, and cases involving patents and other intellectual property. William (Bill) Miller is the other partner in the Des Moines Trial group. His practice includes complex business litigation and employment law matters primarily for clients in the health, governmental and financial services sectors.
