Provided by Dentons

At Dentons the public procurement team go through the whole tendering procedure, solving any risks, making use of legal remedies and performing the contract in accordance with any applicable rules. We combine legal experience with a practical approach and deep knowledge of industries, such as transportation, construction, energy or defence.

The team provides assistance to public clients, helping them to achieve their goals through public tenders. Our lawyers help in setting objectives, choosing the best legal solutions and conducting the tender until the contract is awarded.

The public procurement law team advised the Home Office on its multi-billion Emergency Services Network project; the Foreign and Commonwealth Office; the Department for International Development; and the British Council on the re-procurement of its voice and data global telecommunications solution.

In the energy sector, Ofgem is a long-standing client, advising on the ongoing competitive licensing of offshore transmission assets (the OFTO programme).

The team also has a strong reputation for advising on major regeneration and property projects, including Earls Court for London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and the High Street Quarter for London Borough of Hounslow. In the transport sector, Network Rail is an important client, a particular highlight was the ongoing advice provided on strategic projects such as optimising value from Network Rail's managed station portfolio.
