The team has more than 80 years' experience of working in the global energy sector and expertise in energy transactions, projects and disputes, energy regulation, energy trading and energy market design, covering all aspects of LNG, oil and gas, and coal through to power, renewables and emissions. The team has extensive experience in upstream, mid and downstream M&A, oil and gas exploration and production, storage, transportation and supply and sale contracts, as well as joint venture arrangements and decommissioning projects. A particular focus is LNG, where the team has experience in long-term, spot and master LNG SPAs, terminal arrangements, FSRU/FSU import projects, liquefaction projects (both onshore and floating), LNG marketing and LNG shipping and charterparties. In relation to electricity, the team is a market leader in power sector reform in both developed and emerging markets. Dentons is also recognised as a leader in the conventional generation and the renewables space, advising developers, financiers and investors on utility-scale solar and wind projects (onshore and offshore), waste to energy projects across developed and developing jurisdictions, and for complex renewables portfolio acquisitions and disposals.
