Our Construction practice comprises a non-contentious team led by one partner and comprising several lawyers. We offer "city-level" expertise, experience and services at a cost-effective price to a broad spectrum of construction clients across the UK and internationally.

Our non-contentious practice advises at the highest level on major projects in the commercial, retail, leisure, rail, development finance, energy and high-end residential sectors. We advise on the day-to-day complexities of live projects and on the most advantageous procurement methodologies. We negotiate changes to standard form contracts and we draft bespoke agreements. Our client base tends to centre on developers and funds (both UK and international) – the majority of which are household names who develop or finance developments extensively year on year.

The team is complemented by our London- and Edinburgh-based contentious teams who advise main contractors, specialist sub-contractors, developers, funders, PFI project companies and other procurers of construction and engineering services. Last year, we were instructed on several significant disputes including reported decisions. We are also instructed on disputes involving PFI projects in the highways, education and health sectors working for project companies, contractors and funders.
