About

Provided by Cole Schotz P.C.

Our Bankruptcy & Corporate Restructuring Department is known throughout the country, with an especially strong presence in the State of Maryland and an extraordinarily experienced team. Our Maryland attorneys are well equipped to manage all aspects of chapter 11 cases and litigation arising out of bankruptcy no matter how high the stakes are or how complex. Unlike many bankruptcy practices, we do not represent major financial institutions. Therefore, we can be directly averse to those institutions on behalf of debtors or creditors’ committees. In many cases, the effectiveness of the Baltimore team has allowed clients to survive and restructure without the need to file for bankruptcy relief. In addition, the Maryland team is well known for its exceptional results in litigation arising in or out of bankruptcy cases.

The team’s experience spans industry sectors such as manufacturing, technology, finance, fintech, construction, automotive, healthcare, hotels, hospitality, gaming, entertainment and retail.

Our attorneys are advocates for the practice both locally and nationally and remain active in the Bankruptcy Bar Association for the District of Maryland and the American College of Bankruptcy.
