The Group works closely with land use planners, architects and engineers, lenders, title insurance underwriters and real estate brokers to ensure that projects are completed efficiently, timely and on budget.

The firm also represents real estate developers, investors, individuals and entities in the acquisition, financing, leasing and disposition of residential real estate. Acting as a liaison between the buyer's or seller's attorney, real estate agent, title insurance company and lender, Cohen and Wolf coordinates the entire transaction in a prompt and professional manner. As agents for major title insurance companies that do business in CT, the firm's Real Estate attorneys are readily able to procure appropriate title insurance policies and coverage for clients.

The Real Estate Group is supported by members of the firm's Land Use & Zoning Group who assist clients in the preparation and presentation of all categories of land use applications (variances, special permits, subdivisions, zone changes, regulation amendments, wetlands applications, CAM) before local boards, commissions and the DEP. The Group also works closely with the firm's Business & Corporate Group when matters require representation from that area.
