One of the most mature tax practices on the Latvian market, with a team of six specialists including two partners, two specialist counsels, two senior associates, with one partner in charge of the practice group and the other leading particular cases in the areas of their expertise. At Baltic level, COBALT has one of the most integrated tax practices, with a team of sixteen specialists including five partners.

Our attorneys have expertise in tax laws, as well as other areas of law important for business. Therefore, our team provides tax advice that takes into account the broader legal context of transactions, as well as assessing the tax consequences when advising on transactions.

Our tax team has a record of successfully representing our clients before the tax authority and the courts, utilizing arguments based on EU law, administrative law, and human rights. This allows us to effectively protect our clients' interests in cases where expertise in tax law alone would be insufficient.

Our work mainly involves tax litigation, local and cross-border tax structures, consultations on M&A transactions, financing transactions, and changes in corporate structures.
