Having advised the Federal Government on the implementation of the Wholesale Electricity Market and the restructuring of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), including the drafting of the Electricity Market Rules, CMS Mexico is currently advising many key players on their participation in the new electricity industry.

Additionally, the National Energy Control Centre (CENACE) has retained WLL-CMS for the implementation of the Operational Guide of the Clearing House for the Long-Term Auctions, as well as the hiring of the operator of the Clearing House. The firm is also advising CENACE on drafting the rules for the Third Long Term Auction.

The former has given CMS-WLL a regarding the new regime, and a much deeper understanding of the market, allowing our team to provide more qualified legal advice to our clients and a keen understanding of their new options for their business decisions.
