Claro has a full-service IP practice, which covers the full range of IP advice. The department has been streamlined during the last years according to the demands of today's world, positioning us as a full-service IP Practice Group that includes not only the traditional work of brands and patents, in which we maintain our undisputed quality leadership, but also important cases of advertisement, software, data protection, unfair competition, consumer law, regulatory issues and relevant IP transactions. Thus, we have achieved a solid, complete and multidisciplinary practice, which positions Claro as one of the best IP teams in the country.

The department is renowned for handling highly complex and often novel matters, many of which have significant implications for its clients’ businesses and operations. The IP department is currently handling around 1,500 cases, many of which are highly complex and challenging matters. The IP department works closely with the firm’s M&A department, as well as its litigation and criminal department when IP disputes arise in the ordinary courts.
