Our litigation department consistently outperforms client expectations not only with a record of success comparable to the largest firms in Chicago, but also with a value proposition the big firms cannot match. A number of our attorneys came to Chuhak & Tecson from big firms or established litigation boutiques, seeking an opportunity to work on sophisticated matters for a broader, more diverse range of clients, to include small businesses, non-profits, etc. We are often not on the radar of most large companies. Yet, when they experience the service we provide, they are uniformly impressed.  Accolades we’ve received from clients include “we’re lucky we found you,” from a Fortune 100 general counsel who we represented in a nearly billion dollar False Claims Act case, and “we’re not paying you enough,” from the general counsel of a client involved in an SEC enforcement proceeding for whom we negotiated a quick resolution that eliminated the client's exposure. The department routinely achieves superior results while also providing greater value than clients typically receive from our Big Law competitors. Department members emphasize resourceful and innovative solutions to litigation or other disputes to achieve expeditious resolution, consistent with client objectives, rather than routine, by-the-numbers execution. All matters are staffed efficiently with a senior lawyer and, usually, no more than one or, at most, two more junior lawyers.
