Carey Olsen Bermuda was established in 2017 by managing partner and highly-regarded Bermudian attorney Michael Hanson. The team has a deep local knowledge of Bermuda law and regulation coupled with a global perspective.

  • Carey Olsen Bermuda Limited acted for the joint liquidators of Par-La-Ville Hotel and Residences (PLV) - along with Mexico Infrastructure Finance (PLV's principal creditor) and Fidelity National Title Insurance - on various matters arising from PLV's insolvency. This included enforcement of a New York judgment against the Corporation of Hamilton, as guarantor of the original financing, and professional negligence proceedings against a former legal adviser to Fidelity.
