The head of our practice, Alamy Candido, has worked in some of the biggest Brazilian law firms before founding Candido Martins Cukier Advogados and served as a judge of the Court of Taxes and Fees of São Paulo (TIT-SP) for several years.
Tatiana Chiaradia, the head of our tax litigation team, also has worked in some of the biggest Brazilian law firms before joining the firm. Currently, she also serves as a judge of TIT-SP.
Our department is divided in tax advisory, tax litigation and wealth planning.
On the tax advisory, our team gives transactional support on tax structures for M&A deals as well as support to clients on issues related to municipal, state and federal taxes. We also advise on compensation issues for C-level team.
Our tax litigation area is focused on strategic tax lawsuits, from risk assessment regarding current and potential litigations, building up the thesis, drafting the arguments, and presenting oral arguments to the court. We also advise on tax credit recovery and negotiation of judicial credits.
