Our lawyers have extensive experience in protecting patents, brands, designs, copyrights, databases, domain names and related rights. 

We work closely with clients across a range of industry sectors, including technology, life sciences, consumer products, fashion, finance, hotels and leisure, media and pharmaceuticals.

Our team advises on everything from trade mark infringement and passing off claims through to software copyright, design protection and enforcement and online infringements. We also deal with the increasingly complex areas of database management and digital rights management. We have built up an impressive team of international specialists and regularly take the lead role in cases across multiple jurisdictions.

We also have a long established portfolio management practice, fully integrated with the firm’s leading IP litigation practice, in order to provide a “one-stop shop” on all aspects of brand development, protection, exploitation and enforcement.

The renowned Patent Litigation practice combines technical expertise covering all the major scientific and engineering disciplines, with an unrivalled depth and breadth of litigation experience. It is probably the largest dedicated group in the UK, and works along our Competition and Regulatory teams across a range of issues from life sciences to telecoms, for example in Standard Essential Patent disputes; and with our IP Transactions team, one of the largest focusing solely on standalone deals involving IP rights.
