Breakpoint's arbitration team is spearheaded by KC Lye and Darius Chan, both of whom sit as arbitrators regularly. The firm handles a range of sophisticated arbitration matters administered by major arbitration institutions. Matters which the team has advised and acted in include financing, power and infrastructure, banking, pharmaceuticals, technology, crypto and tax disputes. Notably, the firm also advises and act in investor-state disputes for both investors and States.

• Representing a pharmaceutical manufacturer in a claim against other manufacturers in an SIAC arbitration governed by English law
• Representing a Middle Eastern entity in an SIAC arbitration against a financial institution over a hedging master agreement on sanction-related issues
• Representing an Asian host state in a USD20m dispute relating to a long-term Power Purchase Agreement in an UNCITRAL arbitration
• Representing a European multinational conglomerate in SIAC arbitrations against joint venture parties over joint venture agreements and loan agreements concerning operations in various Asian states
• Representing a Singapore listed company subsidiary in a joint venture dispute over the running of a power plant in a South East Asian country in Singapore Court proceedings and SIAC arbitration
