Provided by BMA – Barbosa, Müssnich, Aragão

With ample experience in administrative and judicial proceedings and a solid understanding of arbitrations, BMA's international trade team has the skills needed to help national and international clients find creative and innovative solutions for the challenges they face both in Brazil and in other countries.

At a time when the number of antidumping actions and other protectionist measures is rapidly increasing – according to studies by the World Trade Organization – BMA's team provides legal support in antidumping and anti-subsidy investigations and in proceedings to impose safeguard measures. Our team members also act in matters related to market access, such as rules of origin, tariff classification, ex-tariff items and the list of exceptions to the Mercosur Common External Tariff, and provide legal advice and analysis of tariff and non-tariff barriers, such as technical, sanitary and phytosanitary barriers and quotas in Brazil and other countries.

Over the years, BMA has acted for national businesses, multinationals and governments in negotiations and international disputes before Mercosur and the WTO and in private arbitrations.

BMA's International Trade practice area is frequently mentioned in legal directories and law firm rankings for its work in high-profile cases, representing companies that play an important role in the global economy.
