About

Provided by Blank Rome LLP

Our full-service team advises on acquisitions, development, construction, leasing, restructuring, financing of real estate projects, and multi-property and portfolio deals, in all asset classes, including office, healthcare, medical office, retail and lifestyle, industrial, multi-family, and hospitality. Most deals in the $100-$250 million range, but each year some are worth several hundreds of millions, up to $1 billion+.

We have successfully obtained zoning, subdivision, and land development approvals on most important region-shaping projects.

Our finance practice has close relationships with key banks and lenders that finance real estate deals in Pennsylvania. Our work spans middle-market, single-property secured loans to large-scale, multiple-property/multi-state credit facilities.

Our multi-family deals are typically sales and purchases of rented apartment complexes for private tenants backed by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and we are familiar with the issues involved.

We lead multiple multi-property, multi-state portfolio acquisitions and dispositions on a yearly basis.

Our related real estate tax assessment practice has secured tax-liability reductions for virtually every major office building in Philadelphia.

Our experience representing private and publicly traded REITs in mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, privatizations, joint ventures, and financings has led to our work on a handful of multibillion-dollar publicly traded REIT transactions recently.
