About

Provided by Barclay Damon LLP

Barclay Damon has experienced practitioners with regional and national experience across a broad spectrum of environmental matters. Our environmental practice is known for its work in the energy sector, including large merchant generators, renewable energy producers, pipeline and electric transmission-line developers, private equity firms, and public utilities.

Our attorneys are known for their practical experience and relationships with key regulators and the courts. This is due in part to our attorneys’ years of experience in high-level positions at environmental administrative agencies. Several attorneys also have advanced professional degrees in engineering and scientific disciplines. Our group includes experienced litigators, including former law clerks at the state and federal levels.

Our attorneys are also known for their work on complex Superfund sites and compliance enforcement actions, where we have demonstrated success in achieving timely and cost-effective settlements with regulators and private parties. Part and parcel to this is our CERCLA experience, which has enabled us to secure favorable court decisions at the prediscovery stage in a number of cases.

We are also recognized nationally for our wildlife experience. Our attorneys regularly counsel individuals and organizations, including natural history museums, on a variety of wildlife law, permitting, and related issues.
