Civil and commercial litigation: This is undoubtedly a key strength of the department.
Domestic and international arbitration: Baker McKenzie's position as a leading global firm lends it a unique ability to handle high-level international arbitration cases, involving international clients and top multinationals. On a national scale, we receive regular mandates from domestic Spanish companies that we represent, and we presently provide legal advice for firms in the construction, hotels, industrial, retail and financial sectors.
We work closely with the Firm's Banking and Finance department to advise on a number of financial litigation cases and insolvency arbitrations. We act as representative of creditors to reach agreements and settlements out of court. We are involved with numerous clients in the financial sector, including multiple litigation cases with major banks advising on interest rates and mortgage issues. We advise on insolvency liabilities and distressed asset deals as insolvency filings, homologation of refinancing agreements and restructuring processes.
Criminal Litigation: We assist and represent domestic and international clients in complex criminal litigation cases involving corporate criminal offences. We handle some of the most prominent mandates in the market. .
