This type of work is far more complex than raising capital for an AAA-rated UK LSE listed company. This is because many African issuers face a tougher political and economic environment and are often conducting their debut offerings in the capital markets. African deals also tend to entail more difficult diligence issues and may also require the involvement of a broader range of lawyers (e.g. sanctions and tax lawyers).
