At Baker McKenzie, our Equity Capital Markets team has extensive experience in guiding issuers and underwriters through diverse ECM transactions. Our Debt Capital Markets practice is uniquely positioned to advise clients in Australian and overseas markets on both Australian and English law.
We have a strong bench of derivatives lawyers based in our Sydney office which undertakes transactions for clients in Australia, in APAC and in Europe. The team advises on a broad range of Australian and English law transactions including advising on loan-linked hedging, commodities transactions, weather derivatives, electricity derivatives and total return swaps.

- Baker McKenzie advised HealthCo Healthcare and Wellness REIT in relation to its AUD320 million capital raising by way of an institutional placement and accelerated non-renounceable entitlement offer.
- Baker McKenzie also advised Australian packaging group Orora on the acquisition of French headquartered Saverglass SAS for an enterprise value of AUD2.15 billion from private equity firm Carlyle.
