Our Tax Group provides comprehensive counsel on the full spectrum of individual and business tax matters. With more than 60 tax attorneys serving clients nationwide, we help individuals, families, businesses, and nonprofit entities navigate federal, state, and international tax laws. We collaborate closely with colleagues across practice areas to deliver integrated advice on planning, compliance, audits, and litigation.

Our services include estate and gift tax planning, trust and probate administration, and business succession strategies for both voluntary and involuntary transfers. We advise on executive compensation, benefit plans, and ERISA litigation, including issues unique to multi-employer and tax-exempt organizations. Our attorneys also assist with conservation easements, charitable planning, and governance of nonprofit and exempt entities, including unrelated business income, private inurement, and intermediate sanctions.

We represent clients in IRS audits and appeals, ruling requests, and tax controversies at all levels. Our state and local tax (SALT) team helps reduce exposure across income, franchise, property, gross receipts, and sales and use taxes, and defends clients in enforcement actions. We also counsel on tax credit programs, employment classification, international tax treaties, excise tax issues, and more.
