Ashurst acted for Northern Star Resources both with regard to its AUD1.16 billion acquisition from Newmont of a 50% interest in Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines' 'Super Pit' and in relation to Northern Star's subsequent AUD16 billion merger with Saracen Mineral Holdings, whose assets included the remaining 50% interest in the 'Super Pit'.
