Arnold & Porter represented Coast Guard reservist Nick Feliciano before the US Supreme Court in a case concerning federal differential pay for civilian employees called to active military service. The Court held that reservists activated during a national emergency are entitled to differential pay without showing that their service was substantively connected to a particular emergency.

They did a great job talking us through the issues and case developments. They're great writers, very good with implementing client comments and very knowledgeable.
They have great attention to detail and thoroughness. They're very good at explaining the precedents. It was good lawyering under very tight deadlines.
They completely understood our business. They did not get lost in legalisms and instead exhibited acute commercial awareness. They understood the impact of legal issues on our commercial aspirations
The representation we received from the team was the best, by far, of any representation by outside counsel I have received in my entire career.
Arnold & Porter were willing to fight hard and creatively to the bitter end, even under very difficult circumstances.
