ARKTIK Legal also represents insurance companies in their role as a reinsured, reinsurer or retrocessionaire in various constellations of reinsurance law disputes, particularly in the context of ad hoc arbitration proceedings. Additionally, the team has vast practical and academic experience in international investment (treaty) arbitration, including disputes administered by the World Bank Group’s International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). The firm represents both investors and states and regularly cooperates with various domestic and international law firms. Further, ARKTIK Legal represents athletes, clubs and sports federations in context with sports arbitration proceedings in front of the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) in Lausanne, Switzerland. Besides representing clients in arbitration, the firm’s attorneys are regularly appointed as members of arbitral tribunals or as foreign law experts on German and European Law in international arbitration.
