The Competition/Antitrust Department of Allende & Brea, works for multinational and local corporations, to prevent legal disputes by giving preventive advice, and also when the dispute has already arisen. The department works on the defense throughout all the administrative and court stages of the proceedings.

Our Competition/Antitrust Department practice includes assistance in:

• Dealing with antitrust authorities in economic concentration transactions.
• Acting as defendants or claimants in administrative proceedings and judicial remedies relating to cartels, abuse of dominant positions and other anticompetitive practices.
• Advicing and advocacy regarding compliance with antitrust laws in the client’s distribution networks, as well as other types of agreement and vertical relationship with customers or suppliers.
• Designing and implementation of antitrust compliance programs and internal investigations.
• Providing legal advice on antitrust risk assessments for transactions that need to close before obtaining antitrust clearance.

Our firm has advised many clients in a variety of sectors in connection with merger control filings and other required compliance in connection with marketing strategies, joint ventures, distribution, licensing and franchising agreements, as well as in antitrust litigation cases before the Argentine antitrust authorities and the Argentine courts.
