Our International Arbitration Practice is one of the largest in South-east Asia and we have particular depth and expertise in handling complex international disputes in the areas of infrastructure, energy, cross-border investments, trade and transport. We regularly represent clients in disputes arising in Asia. We also manage disputes occurring in multiple jurisdictions.

Several members of our Practice are Fellows or Associates of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) experienced in International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) and the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) arbitrations, both within and outside of Singapore. Our lawyers act for a select clientele comprising multinationals, local blue chip companies, financial institutions, government agencies and statutory boards.

What the Team is Known For

Allen & Gledhill LLP has a substantial, specialised bench with a close focus on arbitrated commercial disputes arising in South and South-East Asia. It is frequently active on matters involving businesses headquartered elsewhere on the continent and particularly active on matters with Indian or Malaysian connections, in addition to those concerning Singaporean parties. The team is often instructed on cases relating to construction, power generation, oil and gas, and transportation issues, and is especially familiar with the SIAC and AIAC arbitral regimes. It is also active in arbitrations generated by projects and investments outside the region. The firm acts for both public and private sector clients, winning particular praise for its understanding of government agency perspectives.
