What does the session cover?

The Defamation (Model Provisions) and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2021 (the Act) commenced on 1 July 2021. This session will provide a valuable update on the changes that the Act introduced. Changes include:

  • the introduction of the element of ‘serious harm’
  • a new compulsory concerns notice process
  • changes to the available statutory defences
