The Republic of Nicaragua welcomed more travelers with good news for the aviation industry.
On January 4th, United Airlines reactivated its operations in Nicaragua, after having suspended service for almost three years due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The opening ceremony took place with the arrival, at full capacity, of the Boeing 737-800 aircraft from Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport, landing in the afternoon on Nicaraguan territory.
Its arrival at the "Augusto C. Sandino" International Airport marks the official re-establishment of United Airlines operations in Nicaragua.
García & Bodán Nicaragua headed by Terencio García, Regional Managing Partner, together with Senior Associate María Alejandra Baldizón, worked meticulously for the reactivation of operations of United Airlines in matters related to compliance, permitting of public entities, and contracts, among others, achieving strict compliance with both local aviation legislation and applicable international standards.
"We have been flying in Nicaragua for 33 years and it is extremely important for us to be able to reestablish this route, with a professional team that has made this possible," said the airline representative during the protocol acts.
