The indebtedness in the amount of USD 5 mln originated as a result of breaching by the Ukrainian company of its obligations under the equipment supply contract.

It should be reminded that this is the second arbitration award of CIETAC that Ilyashev & Partners has managed to have successfully recognized in Ukraine in favor of this client. In 2019, an arbitration award was issued in favor of a client in Shenzhen in connection with the indebtedness incurred by another Ukrainian company. The Supreme Court also upheld the Ruling of Kyiv Court of Appeal for the recognition and provision of the permission for the enforcement of the arbitral award in the said case.
