Taylor Wessing advises on sale of DCS Innovative Diagnostik-Systeme to Calibre Scientific

The international law firm Taylor Wessing advises on the sale of the human-medical diagnostics company DCS Innovative Diagnostik-Systeme GmbH & Co. KG ("DCS") to the US company Calibre Scientific. A team led by Hamburg-based M&A expert Dr Jens Wolf advised the seller on the legal aspects of the transaction.

By the Hamburg-based company DCS, founded in 1992, Calibre Scientific, which is backed by the US private equity firm Stone Calibre, expands its DACH portfolio with a leading provider of biochemical and immunological reagents and advanced detection systems for laboratories, hospitals, research, industry and universities in Germany and abroad. DCS develops and distributes highly specialised products, including primary antibodies, highly sensitive detection systems, chromogens, various reagents and high-performance immunostaining systems.

Calibre Scientific, based in Los Angeles, is a provider of life science reagents, tools, instruments and other consumables for laboratory research, diagnostics, industry and biopharmaceuticals. The company is represented in 175 countries and continues to expand its product offering and global presence in a variety of industries and regions.
