SyCipLaw is pleased to announce the promotion of Austin Claude S. Alcantara and Rosevee R. Paylip-Guiang to Special Counsel, effective January 1, 2025.
Austin brings over a decade of experience handling various dispute resolution matters before all levels of the Philippine judiciary including the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeals, the Court of Tax Appeals, and the Sandiganbayan. He has represented numerous clients before the Department of Justice, the Philippine Construction Industry Arbitration Commission, the Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines, the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, the Department of Trade and Industry, and ad hoc arbitral tribunals.
Rosevee is an experienced litigation lawyer who has represented both corporate and individual clients in criminal, civil, and administrative cases. She has handled various cases before courts, including the Court of Appeals, as well as administrative agencies, such as National Labor Relations Commission, Department of Labor and Employment, and the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority. She specializes in intra-corporate controversies, land and real property disputes, maritime and shipping, customs law, construction, and labor and employment issues. Additionally, she handles general corporate work and serves as corporate secretary for several corporations.
