SAA has advised Rainbow Tours, one of the largest travel companies in Poland, on the acquisition of Paralela 45, a leading and highly reputed Romanian travel agency. The preliminary agreement for the acquisition was signed on May 15.

This strategic acquisition marks a significant milestone in the growth of both organizations, enabling the diversification of service offerings and the delivery of more comprehensive travel experiences, while also strengthening market presence through the infusion of foreign capital and industry expertise.

Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Łódź, Rainbow Tours S.A. is one of Poland’s top tour operators and has been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since 2007.

As of December 31, 2024, the company reported consolidated revenues of PLN 4.07 billion (approximately €925 million), a 23.5% increase over the previous year. Rainbow Tours employs over 800 people and operates more than 100 branches across Poland.

Its services range from city tours to full holiday packages across the globe. The company also owns and manages the White Olive hotel chain in Greece, with properties in Zakynthos, Rhodes, and Crete.

Founded on April 5, 1990, Paralela45 is one of Romania’s first three private travel agencies. It is a well-established tour operator offering charter vacations to destinations like Turkey, Greece, Egypt, Tunisia, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Cyprus, the UAE, Lapland, as well as exotic trips, Romanian holidays, cultural and historical tours, tailor-made programs, business travel, and luxury incoming services.

Paralela45 operates a national network of nearly 50 street-level agencies, in addition to its online platform and virtual agent Ioana, who handles customer inquiries outside of regular hours.

The company employs over 220 staff, most with over 20 years of experience, and closed 2024 with €70 million in turnover.
