The funding round was led by Hiro Capital Hiro Capital - European VC fund focused on Technology and especially on the gaming sector - and included GapMinder (who first invested in Machinations.io in 2020 and who continued to support the founders due to the uniqueness of the product they created), as well as Acequia Capital and Venrex Investment Management.

The funds will be used to expand the team and accelerate the company’s development, as well as to launch new features and services to support the rapid development of the number of users.

Founded in 2018, Machinations.io is the first and only browser-based platform used by more than 35,000 professionals for designing and predicting game economies & systems for premium, free-to-play, and play-to-earn games.

The Stratulat Albulescu team advising on the deal was led by Managing Partner Silviu Stratulat and also included Partner Cristina Man and Associate Roxana Ioncu – all part of the dedicated Technology M&A. 

Luxembourg firm Bonn Steichen and Partners acted as co-advisor on the matter, advising Machinations.io on the relevant law related aspects.
