Singularity Legal is pleased to announce the relocation of Natasha Kavalakkat, Managing Counsel, to its Dubai office as part of the firm’s strategic expansion in the Middle East. Natasha, who has been with the firm’s Mumbai office for five years, brings extensive expertise in multijurisdictional disputes and global enforcement and debt recovery, further strengthening Singularity’s presence in the region.

Throughout her tenure, Natasha has played a pivotal role in advising high-net-worth individuals, companies across sectors such as energy & resources, construction & infrastructure, information technology, shipping & trade, and institutional investors in complex shareholder, joint venture, operational, and sovereign disputes. She also specialises in global enforcement and debt recovery strategies. Her experience spans international arbitrations under various institutional rules, including DIAC, ICC, SIAC, PCA and UNCITRAL, as well as litigation before courts in multiple jurisdictions, such as the Cayman Islands, India, Singapore, Switzerland, UAE, and the UK.

Natasha has been actively engaged in the firm’s matters focused on the Middle East and has represented clients before the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Courts since the firm’s licensing in the jurisdiction. She has a strong track record of securing significant rulings before the DIFC Courts, including obtaining a landmark decision affirming the enforceability of foreign seated provisional arbitral awards in the DIFC, obtaining orders of committal and permission for the sequestration of assets in enforcement of a non-money judgment, and securing an anti-suit injunction in support of arbitration proceedings under the Court’s supportive jurisdiction.

We are delighted to have Natasha take on this new leadership role in Dubai,” said Prateek Bagaria, Partner at Singularity Legal. “With Natasha joining our team here, we are further solidifying our footprint in the region, where the firm has seen a booming growth potential since its expansion there. She has been working closely with our Middle East clients for years, and her move to Dubai will allow us to serve them even more effectively.

In her new role, Natasha will focus on expanding the firm’s capabilities in the Middle East, fostering client relationships, and leading a team of talented legal professionals to drive strategic growth.

I am excited to step into this new role and contribute to the firm’s continued growth in the Middle East,” said Natasha. Dubai is a dynamic and thriving legal hub, and I look forward to working closely with our clients and colleagues to navigate complex legal challenges and seize new opportunities.

With this transition, Singularity reinforces its position as a trusted advisor in the region, leveraging Natasha’s expertise to provide top-tier legal services in cross-border disputes and global enforcement. The firm looks forward to a new phase of growth under her leadership.
