HOUSTON – Seven AZA lawyers were honored on the 2026 Lawdragon 500 X – The Next Generation of leading lawyers, billed as “the future of the law. And, in many respects, the now.”

Partners Weining Bai, Cameron Byrd, Warren McCarty, Jason McManis, Jordan Warshauer and Kelsi Stayart White were named along with associate Michael Gorrell.

“We applaud this year’s Lawdragon 500 X crew for their own accomplishments and as representatives of the dream of becoming a lawyer. A good lawyer. A great lawyer. They chose to believe in themselves and the law,” Lawdragon states.

The website says these lawyers were chosen through a process that combines submissions, research and peer vetting.

Mr. Bai was named for his prowess in intellectual property and commercial litigation. Ms. White was noted for her expertise in appellate law and commercial litigation. Mr. Messrs. McCarty and McManis were named for excellence in intellectual property litigation. And Messrs. Byrd and Gorrell and Ms. Warshauer were cited for their mastery of commercial litigation.

This is Lawdragon’s fourth year to name the next generation’s top lawyers nationally. Messrs. Bai and McManis and Ms. White have been named since the inaugural list in 2023. Mr. Gorrell and Ms. Warshauer joined the list last year, and Messrs. Byrd and McCarty are new to the list this year.
