Scullion LAW has been recognised as one of the first organisations in Scotland to achieve the Flexible Workplace Accreditation, marking a significant milestone in the firm’s ongoing commitment to supporting its people and delivering a progressive, high-performing workplace culture.

Developed by Flexibility Works with support from the Robertson Trust, the accreditation recognises organisations that are embedding flexible working in a meaningful, consistent and impactful way. Scullion LAW is one of just ten organisations to receive this recognition at launch.

The accreditation reflects a broader shift in how work is understood, with increasing emphasis on flexibility, trust and wellbeing. At Scullion LAW, flexible working is creating an environment where people can perform at their best while balancing the demands of life outside of work.

This approach has been central to the firm’s people strategy, supporting employee wellbeing, strengthening engagement and contributing to sustained business performance. Scullion LAW continues to attract, retain and develop talent while maintaining the high standards of service its clients expect.

Nicholas Scullion, Managing Director at Scullion LAW, said:

“This accreditation is a proud moment for Scullion LAW. We have always believed that when you trust your people and give them the flexibility to work in a way that suits them, they will thrive. That translates directly into better outcomes for our clients and a stronger, more resilient business.

To be recognised as one of the first organisations to achieve this accreditation reinforces that we are on the right path, and we remain committed to continually evolving how we support our people.”

Shanna McDiarmid, Head of Operations & Performance at Scullion LAW, added:

“Flexible working at Scullion LAW has been developed with real intention. It’s about consistency, clarity and ensuring that flexibility works for everyone across the business, regardless of role or team.

This accreditation reflects the work that has gone on behind the scenes to build a culture based on trust, accountability and performance. It also gives us a strong framework to continue improving and ensuring our people feel supported to do their best work.”

Lisa Gallagher, Co-founder of Flexibility Works, said:

“Flexible working isn’t just life-changing for individuals, it also brings real benefits for organisations, from engagement to productivity. Our goal is for this accreditation to become the leading benchmark that organisations aspire to. Thank you Scullion LAW, for leading the way.”

The accreditation has been developed using more than 15 years of experience supporting employers, alongside input from an expert advisory board, and assesses organisations across key areas including culture, leadership, transparency and impact.

For Scullion LAW, this recognition strengthens its position as an employer of choice and underlines its commitment to building a workplace where people can succeed professionally while maintaining a healthy and fulfilling life beyond work.
