Sayenko Kharenko has acted as Ukrainian legal counsel to the European Fund for Southeast Europe (EFSE) on providing a loan of EUR 20 million equivalent in Ukrainian hryvnia to Credit Agricole Bank. The loan will be used by the bank to provide local currency financing for agricultural producers and farmers.
EFSE is a privately managed development finance fund initiated by KfW Development Bank with the financial support of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and the European Commission. EFSE uses capital provided by donor agencies, international financial institutions and private institutional investors to finance MSEs in the target region, which includes Ukraine.
Credit Agricole Bank is a universal bank providing a full range of banking services, with a particular focus on agribusiness and car lending.
