Stratulat Albulescu, leading a consortium subcontracted by the Ministry of Research, Innovation, and Digitalization of Romania, provided legal advice on the merger between Orange Romania S.A. (ORO) and Orange Romania Communications S.A. (OROC), aiming to create a fully converged telecommunications operator by integrating the latter into Orange Romania.

The consolidated company following the merger will further Orange's objective of becoming the preferred provider of fixed-mobile convergent services on the Romanian market, both for the residential and business segments. At the same time, it will stimulate investment and competition in the telecommunications sector in Romania, which will undoubtedly bring benefits to society as a whole.

The Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitization of Romania is the state authority in the fields of research, experimental and technological development, innovation, communications and digitalization, cyber security, postal services, radio communications, information technology, information society and the national interoperability framework.

Orange Group is one of the world's leading telecommunications and digital service providers, serving more than 287 million customers worldwide.

Since the acquisition in 2021 by Orange Romania S.A. of 54% shares in the fixed services operator, Orange Romania Communications (previously Telekom Romania Communications) and Orange went through a series of important technical steps, which allowed the unification of contact channels to ensure an aligned customer experience for OROC customers, as well as the launch of the first joint commercial offer.

The SAA team was led by Managing Partner Silviu Stratulat and Partner Cristina Man and also included Partner Andrei Albulescu, Managing Associate Adrian Hlistei-Muresan and Senior Associates Bogdan Florea and Amanda Csaki.
