Hamburg/Munich, 27.8.2025: Rödl & Partner advised two founders of Hanseatic Broking Center (“HBC"), an insurance distribution group in the DACH region, on the sale of their minority stake in HBC to Bridgepoint, a major international private equity firm. Majority stakeholder Preservation Capital Partners, a UK-based private equity firm specializing in the financial services sector, has agreed to fully exit its holding in HBC.

An interdisciplinary Rödl & Partner team led by Partners Dr. Christian Conreder and Mario Schulz provided comprehensive legal and tax advice to the two founders of HBC who will remain significantly invested in HBC. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to close later in 2025.

With Bridgepoint's support, HBC aims to build a fully integrated platform combining specialist commercial broking and managing general agent capabilities as well as accelerate its growth across the DACH region and beyond.
