We are pleased to announce that, at the beginning of September, the DZP Partners were joined by Piotr Orczykowski, who, together with a five-person team, will enhance the Capital Markets & Financial Institutions Practice's expertise in providing regulatory and transaction advice to investment fund market participants, alternative investment companies and depositaries.
Piotr is an attorney-at-law who has been involved in the capital market since the beginning of his career. He gained his many years' professional experience at the Polish Financial Supervision Authority and the largest Polish TFI, where he headed the legal team. In recent years, he managed a law firm operating as part of a Polish advisory group. Piotr specialises in providing services to funds and investment fund managers. He also works with clients in the private client segment, supporting them in, e.g. private wealth management projects and setting up family foundations.
"Piotr and his people are renowned experts in serving capital market institutions. They will bring invaluable experience and knowledge to enable us to offer clients a comprehensive range of services at the highest level. Piotr's energy and dynamism is also a great fit for our team." says Andrzej Foltyn, Partner and Head of the Capital Markets & Financial Institutions Practice.
Along with Piotr, DZP's ranks are also boosted by: Joanna Róg-Dyrda, Tomasz Jabłoński, Karol Herbut, Katarzyna Kraciuk and Paulina Matynia.
Joanna will support Prof. Adam Opalski, Dr Maciej Goszczyk and Paweł Rudolf in the DZP regulatory team advising capital market entities and financial institutions and providing services relating to administrative proceedings.
The team members will also strengthen the Capital Markets & Financial Institutions Practice in advising on financial products and services and sustainable finance in financial institutions and public companies, including in the area of ESG and in the private debt segment.
Past projects implemented by the team include advising an investment fund acquiring control of portfolio companies, whose assets raised from participants amounted to over PLN 300 million, carrying out a restructuring of debt financing in excess of PLN 200 million, and obtaining a precedent-setting entry in the register of alternative investment companies for a fund operating in the venture capital segment.
“We are delighted that Piotr and his team have decided to join our Law Firm. I am confident that this will benefit our clients and those who already know Piotr's team well and contribute to the consistent development of our Law Firm's services.” says Krzysztof Zakrzewski, DZP’s Managing Partner.
