We are pleased to announce the elevation of Peter Olalere, Esq to the position of Associate Partner with the Firm. He will be leading the firm’s Energy and Natural Resources practice.

Peter is a dispute resolution expert but beyond his active commercial dispute resolution work, he has considerable experience providing advisory services, and conducting due diligence and transaction services, on an ongoing basis to individual and corporate clients in the Energy and Natural Resources industry. He advised a regulator in the Nigerian oil and gas industry in respect of complex insolvency issues with companies holding licenses to important oil and gas assets - thus contributing to significant policy formulation in the industry. He is a member of a team of lawyers advising an insurance company currently in respect of its obligations on a multimillion dollar Energy Package Insurance Policy Claim involving a well blowout, fire and oil spill.

Mr. Olalere has authored book chapters, journal papers, and on topical subject matters particularly in the area of Energy and Natural Resources Law. He has also participated in training and retraining events, including preparation and presentation of seminar discussions papers in his areas of practice.
He has also represented local and multinational companies in major arbitration proceedings. 
 
He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2006 and holds an LL.M degree in Energy and Natural Resources Law from Queen Mary University of London. He was appointed a Notary Public for Nigeria in 2017 by the Chief Justice of Nigeria.
