pbbr advised the Spanish company Gavari Asset Managment on its entry into the Portuguese market, through the acquisition of a plot of land for construction in Monte da Caparica, Almada.


The acquisition, worth around 6 million euros, is aimed at developing a student residence. The future building will have an area of around 10,000 square meters and will have 400 beds, as well as outdoor areas for sports.


The project aims to strengthen the supply of quality student accommodation in that part of the Almada municipality where several university centers are located, a growing segment due to increased demand from students both national and international.


The pbbr team involved in this operation was led by Pedro Pinto, partner in the Real Estate practice, and also included Isabel Brazão de Castro, managing associate in the same practice, Tânia Osório and André Bernardo Alves, partner and associate in the Urban Planning and Construction practice and Mário Silva Costa, partner in the Tax practice.
