Olena Perepelynska, Partner and Head of International Arbitration at INTEGRITES, has been appointed as Chair of Arbitration Commission of the Ukrainian National Committee ofthe International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Ukraine).
Olena’s plans as Chair of the ICC Ukraine Arbitration Commission include the development of the transparent procedures for
(1)nominating arbitrators upon request of the ICC International Court of Arbitration,
(2)selecting candidates to be nominated as members ofthe ICC International Court of Arbitration,
(3)selecting candidates to be appointed as Members of to the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR(Paris),
as well as translation of arbitration rules and other documents of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, promotion of arbitration under the ICC rules and its value for Ukrainian business.
Olena Perepelynska has beena member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration from Ukraine since 2018 and was re-appointed for the second term in 2021.
Olena Perepelynska: “It’s an honor for me to be invited to chair the ICC Ukraine Arbitration Commission. In my new role I plan to build transparent and democratic procedures within the commission, as well as contribute to creating strong arbitration community, including Ukrainian arbitrators, to enhance the opportunities of their nomination and to increase Ukraine’s attractiveness as an arbitration-friendly jurisdiction on the international arena.”
Earlier, Olena Perepelynska as the President of the Ukrainian Arbitration Association and the President of the ICC Ukrainian National Committee Volodymyr Shchelkunov signed a memorandum of cooperation. It aims to actualize and expand cooperation between the parties: to implement projects and host events together, as well as develop legislation to maintain a positive image of Ukraine as an arbitration friendly jurisdiction.
